Michael Varga, CIIA

Michael Varga is a fund manager overseeing the Konwave ESG Gold Equity Fund. He is also responsible for sustainability/ESG at Konwave AG.

Previously, he worked at Swisscanto Invest (Zürcher Kantonalbank) as a fund manager and deputy head of commodities. There he managed the Swisscanto Energy Fund and the Swisscanto Commodity Fund, and served as deputy fund manager for the Swisscanto Resources Fund. He also worked as an equity analyst covering metals & mining and chemicals. Before that, he managed the ZKB Gold Equity Fund at Zürcher Kantonalbank and handled the management of the ZKB Precious Metal ETFs. His career began with a portfolio-management trainee programme at Zürcher Kantonalbank, where he gained extensive experience in asset management and international equity trading.

Michael Varga holds a degree in Business Administration (FH) from the Zurich University of Applied Sciences in Winterthur, is a Certified International Investment Analyst (CIIA) and a Certified Environmental, Social & Governance Analyst (CESGA).
