Marco Schächtle

Marco Schächtle is a fund manager overseeing the Konwave Transition Metals Fund. He has been with Konwave since 2016 and founded both the Konwave ESG Gold Fund and the Konwave Transition Metals Fund. Previously, he worked as an analyst and deputy portfolio manager for the Konwave Gold Equity Fund.

Altogether, Marco Schächtle has 10 years of asset management experience with a focus on metals and mining companies. He first gained exposure to the commodities sector during an internship at Swisscanto Invest (Zürcher Kantonalbank) in the commodities team, where he also wrote his master’s thesis on arbitrage opportunities in the aluminium market. After university, he completed the graduate programme at Swisscanto, gaining experience in high-yield bonds, macroeconomic research, and buy- and sell-side equity research.

Marco Schächtle studied at the University of St. Gallen (HSG), where he successfully completed a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and a Master’s in Banking and Finance (MBF).
