Walter Wehrli

Walter Wehrli is the founder of Konwave AG and serves as an adviser. He has been a portfolio manager since 1999, managing funds with a focus on gold, including the Gold 2000 Fund and the Gold 3000 Fund.

Before 1999 he worked at UBS AG in Zurich, initially as a financial trainee in investment research, investment advisory and asset management. He then became a fund manager for South African equities, gold equities and emerging markets, and was appointed deputy head of the Emerging Markets team. Prior to that, he traded Japanese derivatives as well as Dutch and German equities at Banque Louis-Dreyfus en Suisse S.A.

His education includes a banking apprenticeship at Banque Louis-Dreyfus en Suisse S.A., studies at HWV Zurich (School of Economics and Business Administration), and participation in the CFA Programme (Level II candidate).
